UPDATE!  mark morford, writer extraordinaire whose work graces The San Francisco Chronicle and sfgate.com (plus his new book...) says he recently read someone's claim that:


 "soul is to be found in the vicinity of taboo".  


well at least i am in the vicinity.  HA
